So I actually forgot what day it was today. I don't mean it just slipped my mind; I mean I actually tried to figure it out on my own and I drew a blank. I asked Kurt earlier what day it was and managed to forget what he told me. Had to check my email to determine if it was Tuesday or Wednesday. Much to my dismay, it'sWednesday. Oops, crap, it is now midnight so it's actually Thursday. Great. I think I'm in denial and am trying to will time to stand still. Evidently it's not working.
What a beautiful week we are having here in Charlotte! Low 70s, breezy, not a cloud in the sky. Today I was very thankful that baby was a week overdue and that I had a C-section...otherwise I'd be back at work by now. I shudder at the thought of missing such a perfect day with such a perfect baby. I can't imagine being holed up in a cubicle on a day like this, oh lord please oh please let us win the Powerball so we can take Sarah Beth to the park whenever she pleases. We had a lovely day today. Had a picnic lunch at Freedom with Aunt Elaine. SB had a blast...slept the whole time. We had Jersey Mike's which is the only yankee food down here that is fairly authentic, by the way. The bread isn't quite right but it's close. Which reminds me Jen Forrar we are still hoping for some vacuum-sealed Bagel Oven goodness in the mail? I still dream of "real" bagels. Don't get me started on pizza. But don't let me give you the wrong impression about my love of the South. They don't even know what Shrimp and Grits is above the Mason-Dixon line and try ordering a Sweet Tea. If you're lucky you'll get an iced tea with a splenda packet. Before I rekindle the Civil War here, let's get back to the task at hand, talking about my cute little daughter.
We are still addressing the bottle-phobia that is running rampant in our house. She's getting better. Slightly. We only have a few more weeks, however and it's sink or swim. Aunt Elaine is working patiently with our girl. She's mastered getting the milk in her mouth, its the swallowing that seems to elude her. Dribbles all down her chin with a big grin on her face. Such a comedienne she is. We had another photo session today. Mommy can't help herself. She's too cute.
Poor Savannah has not been getting the attention she's used to from Aunt Elaine when she visits. She was so mad at her yesterday that she sat on the opposite and of the couch sulking like a 2 year old and wouldn't even look at her when she said goodbye. Is that face pathetic or what?
