Sounds like Mad Max-style movie, right?
Wrong. It's a salamander. A HUGE salamander. We saw one while we were frolicking in a mountain stream over Memorial Day weekend and we caught it on video. It took me this long to identify what it was. This sucker crawled over Kurt's foot, over my Dad's foot, and went on its merry way. It was over a foot long.

dear lord. this thing is insane. i would have picked it up for sure. i had no idea such things existed. how cool!! are you sure it wasn't a mudpuppy? did you count the toes?
