Yesterday SB and I went grocery shopping. It was blazing hot out (as usual) so she had her sunhat on, but once inside I flipped the brim up a bit to give her an unobstructed view, so she ended up looking like a tiny Gorton's fisherman. Very cute.
While we were standing in the produce section consulting our list, a grandmotherly lady came over and said, "Your daughter is just beautiful and I love her hat." I thanked her and introduced her to Sarah Beth, age 1. SB politely smiled. (Good girl.) The lady said "Oh you must be having so much fun with her." I told her we indeed had lots of fun together.
She then squeezed my arm and said "Well you be sure to tell her when she's old enough to understand that God loves her and that He has a special plan for her." She smiled and walked away.
What a nice lady. Sometimes people are really great.
